Tour of Cheshire – Thank you

By Chairman • January 18th, 2019

Knutsford & District Motor Club has asked me to pass on its thanks to everyone who helped at Bolesworth for Tour of Cheshire on 23nd March. See HERE for the Tour of Cheshire results: www.tourofcheshire.co.uk/start_order.html

You certainly upheld the highly regarded name that LMC has for doing a great job on events and I hope you enjoyed your visit (despite the few drops of rain right at the end of the day). I hope you will join us again for our Aintree or Barbon events, or one of the days when we are helping other clubs by providing marshals to help run their events.

Please keep an eye on the announcements on our home page, or see our Club Calendar page for other events that we are involved with this year.
Thanks again,  John Harden, LMC Chairman

On 2nd March we are running a section of the annual Tour of Cheshire rally, at Bolesworth Estate, 6 miles east of Chester. This will be the opening round of the Historic Rally Car Register (HRCR) championship and will have over 80 historic rally cars taking part.

We need around 20 marshals in the morning and again in the afternoon to look after the tests – can you help? There’s a variety of duties: start line marshals, finish line marshals (operating time clocks), route observers, & test marshals.

This is a non-spectator venue, so the only way you’ll get to see what’s going on is to volunteer to marshal.

Previous experience isn’t necessary, nor orange overalls. Despite an early start, we had a great time running the tests at Bolesworth last year, no doubt helped by a pleasant lunch time visit to a local pub in Tattenhall Village.

The 2019 event is already full with 85 competitors, and reserves too. You can view the provisional entry list here.

For more information,
please contact our chief rally marshal, Geoff Maine via our Contact Us page.
