Setting up your Medical ID / Emergency Information
Having emergency information available on your phone can help someone supporting
you in an emergency find important information such as allergies, medical conditions,
medications and emergency contacts – even when your phone is locked.

And this is not just for motorsport; it could be vital in your ordinary day-to-day activities. Once you’ve added your information to your phone, how about encouraging family and friends to add their details to their phones too?

Setting up your Medical ID is a simple process.

Here’s how:

Using an iPhone:
• Open the Health app
• Tap the profile picture in the top-right corner
• Tap Medical ID
• Tap Get Started or Edit
• Add any relevant information into the displayed fields.
• Make sure Show When Locked is switched on.
• Tap Done
Emergency responders can then access your Medical ID from the lock screen in an emergency, without needing your password.

Using an Android:
• Open the Safety or Personal Safety App
• Sign in with your Google account if asked.
• Tap Your Info
• Select Medical Information
• Add any relevant information into the displayed fields.
• Go to Emergency Contacts and add someone you would like to be contacted in an emergency
• Make sure Show When Locked is switched on.
Emergency responders can then access this from the lock screen by selecting Emergency → View emergency info, needing your password.

Remember:
Your emergency information may be visible to anyone who can access your locked phone, so include only the information you are comfortable sharing in an emergency.
