Frontal Head Restraints >>>>>>
It has been noted that scrutineers at some recent speed events have misinterpreted the Regs re FHR’s and have been telling drivers of modified production cars that FHR’s are not required in their class.
MSA Yearbook reg S9.2.1. says:
“An FIA approved FHR device, fitted in accordance with FIA regulations is mandatory for all drivers with the exception of Period Defined Vehicles, Road-going Series Production Cars and Road-going Specialist Production Cars.”
Be aware that the vehicles mentioned in S9.2.1 are the only vehicles for which FHR’s are not required, ie North & Midlands classes SA,SB, SC, 1A to 1G, 2A to 2D and most Classics.
Drivers of vehicles in 3A onward are required to use an FHR.

Back in the late sixtys and early seventys,I used to photograph your Autocross and Sandocross events in order to help publicise your club. I notice that very few clubs hold Autocross events now. Is there a reason for this?
