What a fantastic day’s weather and experience had at such a fabulous venue. This was my first ever competitive sprint event. The marshals saved one of the Paul Matty Sport Car Championship cars from totally burning up and officials who were tremendously helpful. I will look forward to returning to defend my achievement of Road Going Specialist Cars: Class Record 54.21 seconds in my AC Cobra Superblower.
And what a superb car you have Malcolm! Oh, the sound as you went off the line. I could have listened to that all day.
So glad you enjoyed your visit to Aintree.
We are very self critical and feel it wasn’t one of our better events, so comments like yours helps put things in perspective. It’s always good to get feedback and yours suggests we must have done rather better than we thought.
See you again at Aintree soon.
John H (LMC Chairman)
Thanks to all at Liverpool MC for the Aintree Sprint on 30th April. Yes, there were some teething troubles with timing but the LMC team sorted it out and we got 3 timed runs despite a very large entry. General organisation was very good, as usual. Abbreviated drivers briefing for regulars is a good idea. The weather was very good (albeit slightly gusty) and that helped the throughput off the start-line. I am looking forward to the next one. Thanks to all concerned.
