Speed Championship

Regulations & booking forms are normally available in mid-February once we receive the MSUK Championship Permit. You can then join the Championship at any time before entries close on the 1st July. But you must register before you take part in your first event, as results can’t be backdated.

Sprinting and Hillclimbing are still two of the cheapest and safest forms of competitive motorsport, and the events feature a wide variety of cars, from completely standard road cars to high-performance single-seat racing cars. The Championship is based on the same classes as most events,  so the driver of a completely standard road car has just as much chance of winning the Championship as one in a single-seat racing car.

These days, many UK events are over-subscribed, and several are restricted to regular competitors of the organising club, so we see our Championship as a way of helping drivers compete at an exciting range of popular venues they might not normally get the chance to drive.

How to join the Championship:

Registrations for the 2026 Championship are now open! And it’s FREE to enter! We hope you will join us.

You can select from 27 Events in England, Scotland and Wales.

The qualifying rounds take place at all the great venues that our competitors have become used to – and more!

See the calendar of qualifying rounds in the Championship Regulations.

There’s also a Champion of Aintree and Barbon award for those drivers who only want to compete in LMC’s Aintree & Barbon events. It’s free too, and every championship contender will be entered automatically, so you could still be a champion without attending any other events!

And, don’t forget the end-of-season lunch and Championship Awards presentation in November. It’s open to everyone, even if they are not competing.

Who can take part in the Championship?

The LMC Speed Championship is open to any current member of Liverpool MC. You can join LMC straight away by completing the online membership application here:- LMC Membership – Join Us (opens in a new window).  Then return here to continue.

By registering, you agree to comply with the Championship Regulations.

It is important to read the Championship Regulations before continuing to ensure you enter the correct class and the correct division. Our regulations comply with the North & Midlands Recommended Classes & Clarifications that we introduced in 2010. They are being used as a basis for an ever-increasing number of organisers’ regulations and will help you when entering events elsewhere.

Championship registration is now FREE to all LMC members. What a bargain!

To register, read the regs, then click the button:

If you can’t register online, please check if someone with internet access can help you. Or contact the Championship Coordinator (his contact details are in the championship regulations), and he’ll try to help you.

Most of our events are also qualifying rounds of the ANWCC Speed Championship and the  SD34 Sprint & Hillclimb Championship. Several are qualifying rounds for all three championships. By registering for all three, you’ll stand an even greater chance of winning an award.
