Welcome

By admin • February 11th, 2008

Liverpool Motor Club is pleased to welcome you to our super new website. We hope you like the new layout.

The design brings a number of welcome changes. Content will be more easily managed, meaning easier updates and automatically generated navigation for visitors.

There’s a huge range of new features now available with this site, including news feeds from other Motorsport sites and the ability for you to comment on its content.

You can gain access to the full range of new featuresĀ of the website by registering, just click the tab at the top of the page to start!

The site will develop and expand as times goes on, so do keep coming back to see what’s new. Our aim is to make this site the best motorsport club site in the UK.

Comments
  • Great to see the new site up and running – must have been a lot of work for someone ;) Anyway, good luck with working on it, authorising comments and so on. Hope to see it thriving soon!

  • I might be going mad, but i can’t find a link to the Forum/BBS, and i always use the home page to get to the forum, and now i can’t! ARGH where has it gone?

  • Try looking in the links!!

  • should the not be a link in Navigation? or at least somewhere a little more obvious?

  • Many thanks Vanny I think that after this little banter most visitors will now be able to find the link to the forum

  • been slowly looking through the links (dont think i ever bothered/noticed on the old site) there is some really good information under some of them, and pretty pictures! :D

    Hi Webmaster
Like the site, very good. I am a registered user on the trial website “classical gas”. Every time their site is updated I receive an email “classical gas has been updated”. Is this a possibility for LMC site? It would be useful so you don’t miss anything, also saves time repeatably looking for nothing new. Of course, only on the LMC bit and not the links etc. Would also be useful on the forum. What say you or anyone else out there?

Site layout is a bit messy plus I find I have to scroll down quite a bit to find items – then the menu on the rhs disappear s. Perhaps less is more approach ?

  • Hi Rick – I’d certainly suggest that losing some elements of the sidebar might help a little as they all quite bang into each other. On the other hand, these things often do a great job of increasing page views and visitor retention.

  • Pete

One very useful item seems to be missing from the New Site that appeared on the Old Site, is the Listing of Club Officials(example).

Title(or Position) Name of Person – Email Address and Possibly Phone Number.

  • This is a work in progress at present as we are tring to find a way of not making the email address etc open to the world because we are receiving more than our fair share of spam at present.
We will put the names, possibly pictures and email addresses when we find a suitable way, but definitely not phone numbers. all of this information is alresdy available via the Club Bulletin
